I was lucky enough to be part of the reptile team on a 2 week Bushblitz species discovery trip to the Western Desert to a place called Leinster in WA’s Goldfields.
2015 onwards.
Children arrived. Fieldwork is currently just a dream.

Herpetologist, dry season Northern Territory and Kimberley field survey (2.5 weeks) collecting reptiles and amphibians in poorly represented regions for genetic sampling with colleagues from the Moritz lab.

Herpetologist (10 days), mark & recapture reptile surveys & VIE tagging, Lord Howe Island.

Herpetologist, National BushBlitz launch (4 days), Darkwood Reserve, NSW.
Herpetologist, Central Australia (2 weeks), collecting additional samples of new Heteronotia gecko species.
Herpetologist, Kimberley wet season field survey (2 weeks), Prince Regent Reserve, WA, in conjunction with the Western Australian Museum.

Western Queensland (3 weeks), collecting reptiles and amphibians in poorly represented regions for genetic sampling with colleagues for PhD research.

A survey (9 days) of short-range endemic invertebrates in the gorges of Karijini National Park and Millstream Chichester National Park, WA, with the aim of identifying ecologically important areas for future Conservation and Land Management (CALM) research, in conjunction with CALM and the Western Australian Museum.
Volunteer Herpetologist (2 weeks), Remote field survey of reptiles and mammals at Giralia Station on the Exmouth peninsula, with Conservation and Land Management,WA.

Research Assistant on the MNF RV Southern Surveyor (4 weeks), Shipboard scientist on Australian Marine National Facility (MNF) in region between Tonga and Samoa conducting studies of submarine vents of arc and backarc volcanoes, mapping seafloor bathymetry, and collection of biological (vent fauna) samples, in conjunction with The Australian National University/Australian Marine National Facility.
